Mihail Podoliak: The opening of accession negotiations with Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova means that the European course is irreversible
Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova are preparing for the start of accession negotiations to the European Union. The intergovernmental conferences with the two countries will take place on the same day, on June 25. Kiev believes that the start of negotiations will mean that the European course is irreversible. The statement was made by the Ukrainian presidential adviser, Mihail Podoliak, on the Scanner show on Moldova 1 TV.
"I think it is logistically, legally and politically important to start the negotiation process now. It is important that this negotiation process is as positive as possible, which is why countries want to start it now. It should be symbolic and should go exactly in the connection of the two countries, Moldova and Ukraine. And it should lead to the absolutely concrete adoption of fundamental legal decisions for these countries, Ukraine and Moldova, to carry out the necessary preparatory work".
The Scanner show will be broadcast on Sunday, at 19:15, on Moldova 1 TV.
