Nicu Popescu and the Deputy Minister of Defense of Spain discussed the reform of the defense sector in Madrid
The reform of the defense sector, in the context of the current regional security environment, was discussed in Madrid during the meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nicu Popescu and the Deputy Minister of Defense of Spain, Admiral Juan Francisco Martínez Núñez.
The officials also referred to the strengthening of cooperation with the European Union in the field of security and defense by continuing the high-level political and security dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, as well as the implementation of projects through the European Peace Facility (EPF).
Nicu Popescu welcomed the availability of the Spanish side for the development of the defense capabilities of the Republic of Moldova.
