Earthquake in the Vrancea seismic zone in Romania
An earthquake occurred on the night of Thursday to Friday, at 00:25, in Vrancea county, Romania, according to information published by the Romanian National Institute for Earth Physics Research and Development (INCDFP).
The magnitude 3.4 earthquake occurred at a depth of 122.5 kilometers.
Since the beginning of July, three earthquakes with magnitudes between 2 and 3.4 occurred in Romania.
This year, the strongest tectonic movement, of magnitude 4.3, happened in Vrancea county, on January 15, at a depth of 74 kilometers, and last year, on February 14, there was an earthquake of 5.7 in Gorj county, at a depth of 6.3 kilometers.
