Maia Sandu, in Telenesti: "To enjoy our traditions, we must preserve peace and freedom"
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, participated today, July 7, in the "Hora Sânzienelor" Festival in Telenești, where she emphasized the importance of preserving peace and freedom in order to preserve and celebrate cultural traditions.
"The householders of Telenești have beautiful summer traditions - we celebrated them today, together with the people of Telenești and their guests, at the "Hora Sânzienelor" Festival. I met folk craftsmen, artists and many people who value and promote our culture and traditions", said Maia Sandu.
The president emphasized the need to preserve peace and freedom to ensure the continuity of these traditions. "In order to continue to enjoy the best of our nation, we need to preserve peace and freedom. Let's become part of the big European family", she added.
The "Hora Sânzienelor" festival is an annual event that brings to the fore traditions and folk crafts. The event brings together folk craftsmen, artists and numerous participants who want to rediscover and to promote Moldovan traditions. The festive atmosphere is complemented by traditional dance and songs, as well as exhibitions of handicrafts and local products.
