Government meeting on July 8: 17 projects on the agenda

The members of the Cabinet of Ministers meet in session today, July 8. There are 17 projects on the agenda.

Moldovans will benefit from a 10 percent higher personal exemption starting next year, which will reach up to 29,700 lei. Also, the major personal exemption will also be increased, from 31,500 lei to over 34,000 lei. The new measures can be found in the budget-fiscal and customs policy project for 2025 and are to be approved by the Government today.

Among the projects to be examined by the Executive is the amendment of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Moldova, on the part aimed at combating sexual exploitation and sexual abuse committed against children. Thus, those who commit such crimes could receive harsher punishments.

National Army engineers intervened 15 times in September to neutralize dangerous explosives, detected in several districts of the Republic of Moldova. Traffic restrictions in Chisinau on National Wine Day

Road traffic in the center of Chisinau will be suspended starting tomorrow, at 4:00 p.m., and until Monday, at 5:00 a.m. The measure was taken due to the preparations for the "National Wine Day", the 23rd edition. Chisinau City Hall announced that several main streets will be closed, including Ștefan cel Mare and Sfânt boulevard, on the segment between Alexandr Pușkin and Maria Cebotari.

The Prime Minister of Romania, Marcel Ciolacu, is today, October 4, in Chisinau on an official visit, together with three members of his cabinet. The program includes meetings with the president of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, the Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu, and the prime minister, Dorin Recean. The two prime ministers will participate in the handover ceremony of the school minibuses offered by the Romanian state to the Republic of Moldova.
