A 20-year-old Georgian citizen had an arrest warrant issued in his name by the US authorities for committing the crime of "terrorism". He arrived in the Republic of Moldova as a passenger on the "Istanbul-Chisinau" air route.

Together with another 19-year-old Georgian citizen, the two were detained immediately after getting off the plane. They were escorted for further checks.

During the additional control, the employees of the Border Police, together with the SIS officers, discovered documents confirming the training of the two in specialized military training centers, as well as multimedia materials with terrorist content.
