Government will compensate the electricity bill amid the new price increases
Shortly after ANRE approved the increase in the new electricity tariffs, Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu announced that the Government will offer compensation on the electricity bill.
The official noted that more than 70% of all homes fall into the category of high and very high vulnerability. "We are doing our best to keep the country connected to gas, electricity and heat," said the Minister. In case of an increase, the final tariff for consumers in the high and very high vulnerability categories will be between 3.8 lei and 4.2 lei/kwh. These categories include the vast majority of households in the Republic of Moldova, said Spînu.
