London-Chisinau flights delayed due to a global internet outage
Due to a global internet outage, which affects airlines, banks, media around the world, two London-Chisinau flights were delayed. The information was confirmed for Teleradio Moldova by the spokesperson of the Chisinau International Airport, Natalia Cojocaru. Passengers encounter the deficiency at check-in.
"At the moment, all the systems of the Airport are operating normally. Its activity has not been affected due to the computer outage that is currently being generated all over the world. Some airlines are indeed affected in terms of reservation systems, which makes this flight registration procedure more difficult, and delays can be attested specifically at the check-in stage", said Natalia Cojocaru.
Asked if the governmental institutions in Chisinau were also affected, the spokesperson of the Government, Daniel Vodă, said that he would come back with details.
Microsoft users around the world, including banks and airlines, reported widespread outages on Friday, hours after the technology company said it was gradually fixing a problem affecting access to apps and services, AP writes.
