Moldovan Champs Face Crucial Champions League Qualifier
If Petrocub defeats Cypriot side APOEL Nicosia in their second qualifying round match of the Champions League, they will face the winner of the double match between NK Celje (Slovenia) and Slovan Bratislava (Slovakia) in the next stage of the competition.
The Champions League draw results determined that Petrocub Hâncești will play the first leg away in the third qualifying round against either NK Celje or Slovan Bratislava. The first leg is scheduled for August 6th or 7th, with the return leg taking place a week later in Chișinău.
Should Petrocub lose their double match against APOEL Nicosia, they will be transferred to the Europa League's third qualifying round.
