Man drowned in the Nistru river
A 50-year-old man drowned in the Nistru river. According to the General Police Inspectorate, the tragedy happened in the morning of July 22, in Vadul lui Voda town in Chisinau. Two teams of rescuers and firefighters came on the spot.
Upon arrival, the rescuers conducted a search, but the person could not be found.
On July 23, IGSU divers continued underwater work, and at 1:26 p.m. the lifeless body of the man was found.
The circumstances of the case are being investigated by the competent authorities.
In this context, IGSU warns citizens about the need to observe safety rules while bathing. People are urged to go swimming only in safe places with lifeguard stations.
Swimming late in the evening, especially at night or in bad weather conditions is prohibited.
