Books, paintings and jewelry. What protocol gifts did President Maia Sandu receive at the end of last year
The presidential institution made public the list of admissible protocol gifts given to the head of state during her official visits or visits of foreign officials to the Republic of Moldova. According to the document made public by the Presidency, in the fourth quarter of last year, Maia Sandu received, in total, 18 protocol gifts, with a total value estimated at 50 thousand lei.
Thus, the most expensive gift received by the head of state at the end of last year came from the Foreign Minister of Georgia, Ilia Darkiașvili, who gave Maia Sandu a silver brooch during his visit to Chisinau. The value of the gift amounts to 14,600 lei. Other gifts received by the country's president include books, brooches, paintings, decorative plates or pearl necklaces and bracelets. According to the Presidency, all protocol gifts are registered in the Record Register of admissible gifts and have been transferred to the property of the presidential institution.
