Paris 2024: Olympic Opening Ceremony & Moldovan Athlete Highlights

The Summer Olympic Games will officially commence on Friday evening with an unprecedented opening ceremony.

This ceremony, set to take place on the Seine River in Paris, marks the first time it has been held outside a traditional stadium.

Below is a list of the 26 Moldovan athletes representing our country at the Olympics, along with the dates of their events:

Alexandra Mîrca, October 11, 1993, Chișinău
Debut at the 2024 Olympics: July 25 (qualifications)
Achievements: European Champion in mixed doubles with Dan Olaru in 2016; 3rd place at the Antalya qualification tournament for the 2016 Olympics; silver at the World Cup in Berlin in mixed doubles with Dan Olaru in 2019; 4th place in mixed doubles at the 2023 European Games.
