The Republic of Moldova will donate a new humanitarian lot to Ukraine

The Republic of Moldova will donate goods worth almost 17 million lei to Ukraine. The aid package includes several types of medicine, equipment for the energy sector, as well as tents, sets of bed linen, tableware, medical masks and clothing items. A decision in this sense was taken, on Saturday, by the Commission for Emergency Situations.

"The Ukrainian people need our support, of all those who believe that war can only bring destruction and suffering. We are still with you, with the hope that we can contribute as little as possible to the needs of the people and to the end of this unjust war," said Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița.

Most of the assistance is goods from the reserves of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations. These consist of tents, duvets, mattresses, pillows, sheets, towels, crockery sets, washable coveralls, medical masks, latex gloves and rubber boots.

Other components of the donation represent several types of medicines (antibiotics, anesthetics, infusion systems, immunostimulators), as well as goods needed to restore the energy sector affected by the bombings (cables, fuses, transformers, switches).

This is the fourth batch of humanitarian aid offered to Ukraine.
