One step away from a medal! Judoka Adil Osmanov qualified for the semi-finals at the Paris Olympics
Another Moldovan judoka is close to winning a medal at the Olympic Games! After Denis Vieru, Adil Osmanov qualified for the semi-finals of the Olympic competition.
In the weight category of up to 73 kilograms, the Moldovan athlete overcame the representative of the USA, Jack Yonezuka, the Uzbek Murodjon Iuldoshev, and in the quarterfinals he defeated the Mongolian Batzayaagiin Erdenebayar.
Osmanov will fight in the semi-finals with the French representative Joan-Benjamin Gaba, world and European champion this year. The semi-finals will start at 17:00.
A day earlier, Denis Vieru won the bronze medal in the competition of the weight category up to 66 kilograms.
