The government allocates hundreds of thousands of lei to cover expenses incurred in the process of managing the refugee crisis
The authorities will allocate, from the Government's intervention fund, hundreds of thousands of lei to cover expenses in the process of managing the refugee crisis. The decisions in this regard were taken during the meeting of the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE) chaired by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița today, January 28.
Thus, according to the decision of the CSE, 327.3 thousand lei, from the Government's intervention fund, will be allocated for the maintenance of temporary placement centers, established by local public authorities of the first level, and 3952.4 thousand lei for those of the second level.
Also, 1582.7 thousand lei will be allocated to cover the operating costs of the centers created by state enterprises, non-commercial organizations and budgetary institutions under the Ministry of Education and Research, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
We remind that, since the beginning of the war in the neighboring country, more than 750,000 people from Ukraine entered the Republic of Moldova, of which about 102,000 people still remain on the territory of our country. Also, during this period, more than 11,000 people applied for asylum in the Republic of Moldova.
