Victoria Belous is officially Minister of Finance. The appointment decree, signed by the president Maia Sandu

The Ministry of Finance officially has a new leadership. President Maia Sandu signed the decree appointing Victoria Belous, the new Minister of Finance. The document was signed on July 31, the day Belous was sworn in at the Presidency.

Victoria Belous was proposed for the position of Minister of Finance by Prime Minister Dorin Recean, after ex-Minister Petru Rotaru resigned from this position, being appointed as Deputy Governor of the National Bank. Previously, Belous served as deputy head of the State Fiscal Service (SFS).

On the evening of July 31, Victoria Belous took the oath of office at the Presidency, in the presence of President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean. During the ceremony, the two officials wished success to Victoria Belous in her new position, noting that "expectations are high" and a priority should be to increase citizens' incomes.
