PAS deputy Iurie Păsat died after being stung by a wasp

The deputy of the Action and Solidarity party (PAS) Iurie Păsat died this morning, at the age of 51. The announcement was made by the political formation, on social networks. According to the source, the death occurred due to an anaphylactic shock caused by wasp stings.

"With great pain in our hearts, we announce the death of our colleague, deputy Iurie Păsat, deputy chairman of the Agriculture and Food Industry Commission. The death occurred this morning, due to an anaphylactic shock caused by wasp stings. Iurie Păsat was a dedicated, hardworking, honest colleague. Over the years, he dedicated himself to the community, including as mayor of the village of Bălceana. We offer our most sincere condolences to the family and we are with them in these very difficult moments", announces PAS.

Speaker Igor Grosu, also leader of PAS, sent a message of condolences to the family of deputy Iurie Păsat and to all those who knew him. "He was a man of integrity, dedicated to his work and a very good colleague. May God rest him in peace", the Parliament Speaker wrote on Facebook.

Iurie Păsat arrived in the Parliament following early parliamentary elections of July 11, 2021. Previously, he held the position of mayor of Bălceana twice. The first time, he was elected in 2011, and the second time – in 2019. Iurie Păsat joined the PAS team in 2016.

On August 9, the deputy would have turned 52.
