Moldova's leadership: "Congratulations, Serghei Tarnovschi, for the fantastic race"
After the canoeist Serghei Tarnovschi won a new medal for the Republic of Moldova at the Olympic Games in Paris, the country's leadership came with congratulatory messages and thanked the canoeist for the fantastic race and the beautiful emotions.
"Serghei Tarnovschi brings the Olympic bronze in the Canoe 1000 meters! Congratulations Serghei for this fantastic race and thanks for these beautiful emotions. However, the evolution of our canoeist does not stop there: we keep our fingers crossed for him in the 500 meter race as well. It is the 4th medal of the national Olympic team, the best evolution in history for the Republic of Moldova", wrote Prime Minister Dorin Recean, on a social network.
"A new bronze medal for the Republic of Moldova! Canoeist Serghei Tarnovschi ranked 3rd at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games! Thank you for the emotions and for a beautiful race!", wrote the Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu on the Facebook.
"Serghei Tarnovschi brings the third bronze medal for Moldova at the Olympic Games! Congratulations, Serghei, for your performance in the canoe race and for representing the Republic of Moldova with dignity. We are very proud! Congratulations to the coaches and the technical team! At these Olympic Games, our athletes are writing history! We are keeping our fingers crossed for the athletes who are going to compete!", said president Maia Sandu.
We remind that today, August 9, Moldovan canoeist Serghei Tarnovschi won the bronze medal at the Paris Olympics. The 27-year-old athlete won his second Olympic medal, after the "bronze" in Tokyo.
