In a statement, the MFA emphasized that this information is fake and that the Republic of Moldova remains faithful to its status of neutrality, having no plans to host weapons or military equipment, including aircraft. The ministry emphasized that all decisions of the authorities are transparent and available on official channels, inviting the Russian ministry to get information from verified sources.

"In this context, the MFA reminds that the only country that illegally maintains troops and ammunition on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, without the consent of the authorities, is the Russian Federation," reads the statement.

The Ministry from Chisinau regrets this misinformation and asked the Russian side not to promote fake information about Moldova.
