Fire at a warehouse in Chisinau: Nine rescue and firefighting crews fighting the flames
More than one shed, in a warehouse, where honey tanks and other material goods were kept got caught in flames. The fire occurred last night in the Telecentre sector of the capital, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) reported. Nine fire and rescue crews were dispatched on the spot. No victims have been reported.
Firefighters succeeded to locate the fire at about 04:28 and to completely extinguish it at 06:06. As a consequence, the fire affected 8 shelters on a surface of 96 sq.m. and 300 sq.m. of the warehouse roof. The circumstances and cause of the outbreak of the fire will be determined later.
According to the IGSU, in the last 24 hours rescuers and firefighters have intervened in 24 risk situations.
