Moldova and Sweden sign key defence cooperation agreement

The Republic of Moldova and Sweden have signed a defence cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening institutional dialogue, including in the areas of training and expertise, according to the relevant ministry.

The agreement was formalised during a meeting between Anatolie Nosatîi, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Moldova, Pål Jonson, Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Sweden, and Carl-Oskar Bohlin, Swedish Minister of Civil Defense, who are on an official visit to Chișinău.

During the meeting, the Moldovan Minister outlined the priorities for modernising the defence institution, detailing the actions taken and strategic objectives. Emphasis was placed on enhancing capabilities for national defence, bolstering cooperation with international partners, and increasing contributions to global peacekeeping efforts.
