Clic-Media Chișinău secures crucial 3-2 win in UEFA futsal clash
The Clic-Media Chișinău futsal team secured its first victory in the UEFA Champions League preliminary rounds.
The team from the Moldovan capital defeated Israel's Maccabi Netanya in the second match of Group F, keeping their hopes alive for advancing to the next stage.
As the reigning indoor football champions of the Republic of Moldova, Clic-Media Chișinău triumphed over Maccabi Netanya with a 3-2 victory in a match held at the Futsal Arena in Ciorescu. The home team trailed twice—first at 0-1 and later at 1-2—but managed to turn the game around and clinch the win. The goals for Chișinău were scored by Vladimir Vasilievschi, Constantin Burdujel, and the decisive goal by Andrian Lașcu.
In the other Group F match, NV Georgians Tbilisi defeated MNK Hercegovina Široki Brijeg with a 6-2 score. In their first match, Clic-Media suffered a 2-0 defeat against the Georgian team.
After two matches, NV Georgians leads the group with 6 points. MNK Hercegovina and Clic-Media are tied for second and third place, each with 3 points, though the Bosnian team has scored more goals. The two teams will face each other in the final match, scheduled for Saturday evening in Ciorescu.
Only the group winner will advance to the next round.
