Moldovan businesses will be compensated for gas consumption

The Exceptional Situations Commission agreed at its meeting on Tuesday 31 January to grant compensation for natural gas expenses to entrepreneurs. Minister of Economy Dumitru Alaiba told Radio Moldova.

"The compensation is 12 lei from each cubic metre consumed by businesses up to 500 cubic metres and besides, those industries that consume more natural gas, for example bakery, will be able to access even more. The total amount allocated is 230 million lei," said Dumitru Alaiba.

Minister of Economy Dumitru Alaiba added that a total of 230 million lei had been allocated, and around 10 thousand companies would benefit from this compensation.
