Moldova targets EU membership within 5 years

In the next five years, the Republic of Moldova will become a member of the European Union family. This statement was made by the Speaker of Parliament, Igor Grosu, for Radio Moldova.

"European integration is the model we strive for; it is prosperity, development, and freedom, the very things for which our parents, the generation who voted for the Declaration of Independence, fought. We want to build Europe here in Moldova. We have the full support of our partners, including European countries, Romania, and the United States of America. The Republic of Moldova, in four to five years, will witness this historic event," said Igor Grosu.
