Alina Dima honoured as digital ambassador teacher in Moldova
Moldova 1 presents the project "The Country is Us," which is dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova.
This initiative features individuals from various professional fields sharing insights into their lives and the values they champion. Today, we highlight Alina Dima, a geography teacher at "M. Sadoveanu" Theoretical High School in Călărași. With a 25-year career in education, she has witnessed the myriad challenges and reforms the education system in our country has experienced over a quarter of a century.
"Today, new technologies and innovations are integral to the educational process. Students engage with these tools both literally and figuratively, testing, recording, and analysing their effects. In 2020, our high school joined a national program conducted by the Ministry of Education and Research in collaboration with Clasa Viitorului [The Class of the Future], which focuses on digital literacy. The knowledge and skills acquired have been practically applied by my students. Together, we developed an innovative system that enables us to save electricity within the school. The students recognized that even in rural settings, they have the opportunity to invent practical solutions for everyday life."
In 2024, as part of the same initiative, Alina Dima was honoured with the title of Digital Ambassador Teacher.
"Now, I feel an even greater responsibility to prepare the younger generation to thrive in a digital environment within a country that is evolving with the times. I am pleased that in the Republic of Moldova, we have modern schools, dedicated teachers, and a generation receptive to innovation, ready to modernise the country, because the country is us."
On August 27, the Republic of Moldova celebrated 33 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
