Nicu Popescu meets the Danish Foreign Minister in Chisinau
The accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union, including the agenda of reforms implemented by the authorities, were discussed by the head of diplomacy from Chisinau, Nicu Popescu, and his Danish counterpart, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, who was on a visit to the Republic of Moldova.
During the discussions, the two officials referred to regional security challenges, the strengthening of resilience and energy security, the role of the Republic of Moldova as a regional partner providing stability, hybrid threats as well as disinformation and ways to counter it by supporting media education programs and independent media. "We want to strengthen an even stronger partnership between our countries, and therefore I have expressed my interest in the support of the Danish partners in priority areas such as waste management, forestry, investments in green energy, but also the growth of economic exchanges and investments from Denmark in these fields but also in other areas of interest for the Republic of Moldova", wrote the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Nicu Popescu, on his Telegram channel.
