The first batch of firewood from Romania reached the Republic of Moldova
Forestry enterprises, subordinate to the "Moldsilva" Agency, will, starting today, transport firewood from Romania through the Stânca-Costești and Albița-Leușeni customs points. The wood will reach the town halls, and from there it will be distributed to the people included in the program, announces the Ministry of the Environment.
The UN High Commissioner for Refugees purchased a volume of 2100 m.c. of wood from Romania that will be distributed free of charge to war veterans, pensioners over 70, people with disabilities, families with refugees and placement centers. At the same time, we remind you that, on October 5, in the Government meeting in Bucharest, a memorandum was signed regarding the granting by Romania of 200,000 meters of wood for heating. Through the provision of the Commission for Emergency Situations, approved yesterday, non-domestic consumers were allowed to procure up to 200 sterile meters of firewood, of soft and resinous species, for their own use.
