Ukrainian Cabinet reshuffle: Over 50% to be replaced
More than half of the Ukrainian Cabinet will be replaced. Resignations are expected to occur on Wednesday, with appointments scheduled for Thursday.
David Arakhamia, the leader of the parliamentary faction Servant of the People, announced this on his Telegram channel, according to Ukrinform.
“As promised, a significant government reshuffle is anticipated this week. Over 50% of the Cabinet will be replaced. Tomorrow will be dedicated to resignations, while the following day will focus on appointments,” Arakhamia stated.
He added that “the final list will be approved at the faction meeting on September 4.”
According to Ukrinform, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has received resignation letters from Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshyn, Minister of Justice Denys Maliuska, Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Ruslan Strilets, and the head of the State Property Fund Vitaliy Koval.
At a press conference on August 27, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the issue of Ukrainian ministries headed by interim ministers will be resolved soon.
