Youth rally in Bălți opposes Moldova’s EU membership
The party group affiliated with the Șor network organised a march opposing the Republic of Moldova's accession to the European Union.
Carrying flags and placards, a group of young people marched through the streets of Bălți, chanting slogans against the EU and the government.
The demonstrators stated that their goal was to express dissatisfaction with the country’s European trajectory and to urge Moldovans to vote against the Republic of Moldova’s EU membership in the referendum scheduled for October 20.
The authorities have indicated that they will not comment on the protest.
Earlier, the National Youth Council of Moldova, representing 36 youth organisations that advocate for youth rights, hosted two sessions in Bălți aimed at highlighting the voices of young people from the community.
These events sought to foster a meaningful and constructive dialogue on European issues. During these sessions, the youth voiced their support for the country’s European integration process.
