Catherine, Princess of Wales, overcomes cancer and plans return

Catherine, Princess of Wales, has overcome cancer following her chemotherapy treatment. She has announced her intention to resume limited participation in public events in the coming months, according to The Guardian, as cited by Digi24.

In a video message broadcast on Monday by Kensington Palace, Catherine expressed relief that her preventive chemotherapy treatment has concluded, after enduring nine "incredibly difficult" and "frightening" months for herself and her family. "Now, I am focusing on doing everything I can to stay cancer-free," she stated.

The British princess noted that "her path to healing and full recovery is long" and emphasised the need to "continue taking each day as it comes." She referred to "stormy waters" and the unknown path that lies ahead.

Catherine has begun working from home on some projects and will return to a "light schedule of external commitments for the rest of the year," according to the royal palace. The palace has released a three-minute video showing William and the couple’s three children walking and playing on a beach in Norfolk. This footage was filmed last month, as confirmed by a spokesperson for Kensington Palace.

Catherine revealed in a video message to the nation that she was diagnosed with cancer in March. This announcement came shortly after King Charles disclosed that he is also receiving treatment for cancer. Since then, the King has resumed certain public engagements.

On Monday, Kensington Palace declined to provide further details about the princess’s illness and treatment, citing her right to medical privacy.
