Former Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, investigated in the case of the plane crash in Brovari

The searches of one of the most well-known Ukrainian officials, in the case of the crash of the Airbus helicopter, in Brovary. Former Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov says his home was raided by the Security Service as part of an investigation into the purchase of helicopters.

We remind you that, on January 18, an Airbus helicopter crashed in a suburb of Kyiv, and 14 people died as a result of the accident, including the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, his deputy and a secretary of state, as well as a child.

Arsen Avakov, 59, resigned in July 2021 as Minister of the Interior. Before submitting his resignation, he was one of the most influential officials in the neighboring country, he served as interior minister for more than seven years.
