Failed attempt: a teenager and eight Ukrainian men tried to illegally cross the border with the Republic of Moldova

In the Odesa region, a 16-year-old boy and eight men were intercepted by the Ukrainian Border Guard Service while trying to illegally cross the border into the Transnistrian region through corn fields.

The group was detected as part of intensified border surveillance measures aimed at preventing such illegal attempts.

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, more than 7,000 Ukrainian citizens have illegally crossed the border of the Republic of Moldova. Most of those who entered our country illegally are men aged between 18 and 60, who fall under martial law in Ukraine.
