"Help at the meter" program, again used by scammers. Ministry of Social Protection: "Be alert!"
A new scam associated with the government's "Help at the Meter" program was revealed by authorities. This time, the scammers created an unauthorized web platform through which citizens were indirectly tricked into filling in their personal details. Once completed, the personal data were processed, and the financial means - stolen.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection announces that it has notified the competent authorities and is working with them to identify the persons responsible and hold them accountable. "We urge you to be alert and not access unsafe or unknown sites. Get information only from official sources, and if in doubt, contact the authorities."
