"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges the citizens of the Republic of Moldova who are in the Republic of Lebanon and the State of Israel to be vigilant, in extremely volatile security conditions and with an increased risk of escalation".

The MAE recommends citizens of the Republic of Moldova to follow the instructions of the military and civil authorities and to limit travel to the north and south.

"Unless absolutely necessary, do not leave your home, and in case of shootings, take refuge in special shelters."

In case of necessity, citizens are urged to call the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the State of Israel: +972 52-7789772, available 24/7 or the emergency line of the MFA: 0 80 090 990 – free of charge from a landline in any locality of Republic of Moldova +373 22 23 20 02.

We remind that the bombings between Israel and Lebanon have intensified in recent days. On the eve, nearly 500 people were killed in Lebanon following airstrikes launched by the Israeli army against Hezbollah targets, according to the Lebanese authorities. It is the bloodiest day in decades, with fighting leaving thousands injured and forcing tens of thousands to flee the country's south. In a short video message, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Lebanese that "Israel's war is not with you, but with Hezbollah," pointing out that the group uses civilians as human shields.
