Foreigner, found drunk on a scooter
A 23-year-old foreign citizen was found drunk while driving an electric scooter through the municipality of Balti. According to the Police, the breathalyzer test performed showed a concentration of 0.44 mg/l of alcohol vapors in the exhaled air.
"The young man was taken to the Police Inspectorate for documentation," reads the statement of the cited source.
This week, patrol officers are carrying out activities to prevent violations of road traffic rules, with a special focus on the use of electric scooters.
We remind you that, since the beginning of this year, there have been about 70 accidents involving electric scooters, resulting in over 50 injured people, including 24 with serious injuries.
In this context, the police urge traffic participants to respect traffic rules regardless of the means of transport they use.
