Austria expels four Russian diplomats. Kremlin reacts

Austria is expelling four Russian diplomats for allegedly acting "in a manner incompatible with their diplomatic status". The announcement was made today by the Foreign Ministry in Vienna, which specified that those targeted must leave Austria by February 8. Russia promised an "appropriate response".

Two of the Russian diplomats work at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Austria, and two others - within the Russian Permanent Mission to international organizations in Vienna. For its part, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced today that Moscow will respond to Vienna's move to expel Russian diplomats. We remind you that in August 2020, Austria expelled another Russian diplomat, who was accused of espionage.
