According to an official statement released by the IDF on social media, the attacks targeted "terrorist targets and infrastructure" in border areas with Israel, based on accurate information about Hezbollah locations.
In the context of the tense situation in Lebanon, the representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the Lebanese Republic, based in Ankara, told Teleradio-Moldova that they started receiving several requests from Moldovan citizens, who live there, and asked help in their evacuation from Lebanon. In the context of the escalation of the conflict, the Ministry of Defense communicated to Teleradio-Moldova that the Moldovan peacekeepers, deployed as part of the UNIFIL peacekeeping mission, are out of danger. They carry out their activity outside the conflict zone, and the ministry maintains permanent contact with the military contingent of the National Army, which continues its mission.
