Police detaines 13 suspects in the case of defacing state buildings

More than 13 people were detained by the authorities, being suspected of involvement in actions of defacing the buildings of the Government, the Supreme Court of Justice and the Public Broadcaster "Teleradio-Moldova". According to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Adrian Efros, the investigation is ongoing and the suspects will be held accountable.

"I am very sorry that the young people of the Republic of Moldova or a part of them are being manipulated and bought, ending up selling their values and their country. The authorities, especially the General Police Inspectorate, reacted promptly and arrested several individuals involved in the act. These people will be held accountable for the illegal actions they have committed,” Efros said.

Previously, the Police of the Republic of Moldova announced that the group of suspects consisted of about 20 people, who would have been recruited for destabilizing actions in the Republic of Moldova, being paid with sums of up to 5000 euros for coordinated attacks on state institutions.

The authorities continue the investigations to identify other members of the network, to sanction them according to the legislation in force. We remind you that, on the night of September 28, several people vandalized the headquarters of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Government and the Public Broadcaster "Teleradio-Moldova" Company.
