"The European Parliament remains a strong supporter of the Republic of Moldova and we will have the first proof next week. The European course of the Republic of Moldova will be debated in the plenary session of the European Parliament and a Resolution supporting European integration will be adopted. A Resolution in which we will see that the European Parliament wants to play a strong and active role, including in the accession negotiations to the European Union", said Siegfried Mureșan.

The European deputy reiterated that the European Parliament will continue to support the European integration process of our country: "We support the European integration of the Republic of Moldova, because people want it. European integration means prosperity, well-being, economic development (…) Together in the EU we are safer, we can face and overcome any challenges".

For her part, the deputy chairperson of the Parliament from Chisinau, Doina Gherman, declared that the European path is long and complex and thanked Romania for its support.

"We are aware that the European path is a long and very complex one. We understand that we are only at the beginning of the path, but the most important thing is to know that we are not alone on this path, and your presence here, the support of Romania that has always been, is an example of this. We try to learn from the good practices and experiences of the European partners, who offer us technical, financial and political assistance", said Doina Gherman.

We remind you that the European deputy Siegfried Mureșan was re-elected, on October 3, as president of the Delegation of the European Parliament for relations with the Republic of Moldova.
