A boy with a rare genetic disease, transported by helicopter to Iasi
A 7-year-old boy, suffering from a rare genetic disease, was airlifted from Chisinau to Iasi. The SMURD intervention happened at 12:45.
According to IGSU, the child in extremely serious condition was transported by doctors from the Mother and Child Institute to the Dinamo stadium. Later, the boy was taken in maximum safety by the SMURD Romania crew, who will monitor the patient's condition throughout the flight.
The boy is to be admitted to the Emergency Clinical Hospital for Children Sfânta Maria, Iasi.
According to IGSU, since the beginning of 2024, this is the fifth SMURD aero-medical intervention carried out for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova.
