Andrei Spînu in Baku: "Moldova will follow the path of diversification of energy sources"
Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spînu attends the 9th Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Consultative Council in Baku, Azerbaijan. On his Facebook page, he says he will follow the path of diversification of energy sources for our country.
"I was glad to see that the strategic energy partnership between Romania and Azerbaijan has expanded. This partnership is inevitably to Moldova's advantage," wrote Andrei Spînu.
The ministerial meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Consultative Council was attended by EU Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson, along with officials from Azerbaijan, Romania, Turkey, Italy, UK, Georgia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Serbia, Ukraine and Croatia.
Romanian President Klaus Iohannis stated on Friday that Romania remains strongly interested in accessing additional volumes of Caspian gas to cover growing domestic consumption.
