Poultry meat from the Republic of Moldova reaches EU market
The first batches of fresh frozen poultry meat from the Republic of Moldova were exported to the European Union (EU) market, ANSA announces. Asked by "Teleradio Moldova", the director of the National Food Safety Agency, Radu Musteata, said that a truck with 20 thousand tons of poultry meat will be delivered to France.
"At the moment there is only one company that was listed in August. In April, we obtained the right as a country to export, which means that the Moldovan authorities and the controls they carry out comply with EU requirements. The first compliant facility has been listed and now is the first export from that facility. So, the whole chain of placing the product on the EU market has been completed".
We remind you that the Republic of Moldova also has the right to export eggs for consumption, starting in 2023. "Our companies have invested a lot to improve the conditions of keeping birds, and in the near future, a company will obtain the right to export", said the general director of ANSA.
