Heating energy could be more expensive in Chisinau. What tariff increase Termoelectrica requested
SA Termoelectrica applied to the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) to adjust the tariff for thermal energy delivered to consumers for 2023. Should the regulator accept the supplier's request, a Gcal will cost 3,636 lei, about 800 lei more than today.
Last time, heat delivered by Termoelectrica increased in October 2022, from 2,169 lei to 2,854 lei for a Gcal.
The government in Chisinau offers compensation in bills, including those for heat, depending on the four categories of energy vulnerability assigned. Thus, the final tariff per Gcal paid by consumers is 1,450 lei - very high vulnerability; 1,700 lei - high vulnerability; 1,950 lei - medium vulnerability and 2,500 lei - low vulnerability. Consumption above the maximum compensated volume is paid on the basis of the current tariff - 2,854 lei/Gcal (excluding VAT) - Chisinau and 3,052 lei/Gcal (excluding VAT) - Balti.
