Siegfried Mureșan will negotiate the EU Package of 1.8 billion euros for the development of the Republic of Moldova
MEP Siegfried Muresan was appointed co-rapporteur of the European Parliament regarding the European Growth Plan for the Republic of Moldova, worth 1.8 billion euros.
Among the priorities are speeding the adoption of the plan's European legislation, so that the money reaches the country soon. Equally important is the adoption of the support package under good conditions for the Republic of Moldova, which takes into account the situation in the country and its development needs, writes Siegfried Mureșan on his social media page.
The MEP mentioned that the support package, which was announced by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, last week in Chisinau, extends for three years and will finance investments in hospitals, roads, bridges over the Prut, but also in other areas , which will lead to the modernization of the Republic of Moldova, to the increase of people's standard of living and to the preparation of the country for the accession to the European Union.
The European Commission will be the institution that will monitor the expenses of the new financial package worth 1.8 billion euros for the development of the Republic of Moldova, said the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Ghersimov, in an interview with Moldova 1 TV.
