Negotiations on the extension of the free trade agreement between the Republic of Moldova and Turkey are to be finalised soon
Negotiations on the extension of the free trade agreement between the Republic of Moldova and Turkey are to be finalised in the coming weeks, so that many more Moldovan products, including wines, could reach Turkey duty-free. The announcement was made by Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu after a meeting with the Turkish ambassador to our country. The official remarked that there is maximum openness on both sides.
Also, it was agreed that the Moldovan-Turkish Chamber of Commerce will be officially inaugurated in 2023, which will also be accompanied by a businessmen's forum.
"On the energy side, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spînu is going to attend the Natural Gas Summit to be held in Istanbul on 14-15 February. An agreement on cooperation is also to be signed," Igor Grosu wrote on his Facebook page.
The two interlocutors reached an agreement to complete the construction of the Comrat Industrial College and integrate it into the national education system. At the same time, they agreed to continue the project to equip Moldovan educational institutions with computer technology, as well as to arrange study and training visits to Turkey for teachers and managers of general education institutions to learn best practices in the use of information technologies.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey this year, various cultural, educational, economic and social activities were agreed.
