The additional financial support allocated by the USA will help the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine to develop their economies and to build a common future in Europe, said the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the United States, Viorel Ursu at a meeting with the head of USAID Samantha Power and other American officials.

The diplomat emphasized the critical role that investment plays in maintaining the economic resilience of the two countries in the harsh circumstances of war, with the private sector being the main generator of decent jobs and well-being. We remind you that the US Congress will transfer more than 154 million dollars to support the countries most affected by the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. From this money, 135 million dollars will be allocated for the economic recovery of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. Another $18 million will go to support civil society and independent media in Russia.
