CEC starts printing ballot papers for the second round of the presidential elections

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) started printing the ballot papers for the second round of the November 3 presidential elections, intended for polling stations throughout the country.

According to the CEC, 2,819,996 ballot papers will be printed, of which 2,137,641 - in Romanian, 676,979 - in Russian, 115 in Ukrainian, 3,400 in Gagauz, 870 in Romanian and 991 in Bulgarian.

The price of a ballot is 0.21 lei, and the total value of the circulation is 592,199 lei. Ballot papers are printed on steel blue opaque paper, 14 cm wide and 12 cm long.

The printed ballot papers will be distributed to the electoral offices of the polling stations through the constituency electoral councils.

We remind that the second round of the presidential elections will take place on November 3. The candidates who scored the most votes in the first round of voting will compete for the position of head of state. It is about the candidate of the Action and Solidarity Party, Maia Sandu, who scored 42.49% - 656,852 votes, and the candidate of the Socialist Party of the Republic of Moldova, Alexandr Stoianoglo with 25.95% - 401,215 votes.

We remind that Maia Sandu, who is running for a new mandate from the Action and Solidarity Party, and former general prosecutor Alexandr Stoianoglo, who is backed by the Socialist Party, will compete in the second round of the presidential elections.

According to the data of the Central Electoral Commission, in the first round of the presidential elections, Maia Sandu scored 42.49% of the votes, and Alexandr Stoianoglo - 25.95%.

A team of 30 rescuers from the Republic of Moldova recently participated in a basic training program dedicated to urban search and rescue team training.
