CEC confirms ballots ready for presidential elections
The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has announced that all ballots for the final round of the presidential elections in Moldova scheduled for November 3 have been printed and are ready for distribution.
In this second round of voting, the ballots will feature a clear and simplified design that exclusively includes the names of the two candidates remaining in the race: Maia Sandu and Alexandr Stoianoglo.
It is noted that 839,200 ballots have been printed for polling stations in the diaspora, while 2,819,996 ballots have been printed for polling stations in the country. The ballots are printed on opaque steel-blue paper, measuring 14 cm in width and 12 cm in length.
The printed ballots will be distributed to the electoral offices of the polling stations via the electoral councils of the constituencies.
It is worth mentioning that the second round of the presidential elections will be held on November 3. The candidates who received the most votes in the first round of voting will compete for the position of head of state. These are Maia Sandu, the candidate of the Party of Action and Solidarity, who received 42.49% (656,852 votes), and Alexandr Stoianoglo, the candidate of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova, who received 25.95% (401,215 votes).
