Government debunks a new fake: The legislation of the Republic of Moldova does not allow the sale of land to foreigners
No American company will buy land in our country, said the spokesperson of the Government, Daniel Vodă, after a new fake appeared online on this subject. According to him, the legislation of the Republic of Moldova does not allow the sale of land to foreigners, and the people who spread these lies are only stirring spirits.
The spokesperson of the Executive mentioned that during the election period various fake information appeared online, that aimed to scare the Moldovans to take free and fair decisions.
"I have often seen this fake overlapped with the aspect of European integration of the Republic of Moldova. I hasten to combat a fake narrative and I would like to say that the European integration of the Republic of Moldova will not generate such changes and risks. The lands will remain Moldovans', our legislation expressly forbids the sale of lands to foreigners. Integration in the European Union actually means opportunities and benefits for the development of these lands and a performing agriculture.
Foreign companies will come and invest in our country. In this period, maximum attention, vigilance and all these fakes aim to influence the free decision of citizens to opt for one way or another", said Daniel Vodă.
We remind you that the authorities announced about a fake distributed online that a US company could buy the Moldovan lands.
