Voters who cannot go to the polls can apply for a mobile ballot box by November 16
In the upcoming local elections on November 17, voters who are unable to go to their polling station due to health issues or other valid reasons can request to vote with a mobile ballot box. This announcement comes from the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).
Written requests for a mobile ballot box can be submitted until 2:00 p.m. the day before the election. On voting day, applications will be approved by the electoral office until 2:00 p.m. but only if a medical certificate is presented.
Voters who cannot apply themselves can have a family member do it on their behalf or ask for assistance from a social worker at the town hall. If, due to a physical disability, illness, or other valid reasons, a voter cannot physically sign the voting application, they can present the application verbally at the polling station headquarters. If an in-person verbal submission is not possible, the application can also be made by phone.
On election day, the president of the electoral office at the polling station will assign at least two members of the office to travel with a mobile ballot box and the necessary voting materials to where the voter is located, allowing them to cast their vote.
We would like to remind voters that on November 17, localities including Căușeni town, Căușeni district, Iliciovca commune, Florești district, Boșcana commune, Criuleni district, Arionești village, Dondușeni district, Antonești commune, Cantemir district, Clocușna village, Ocnița district, and Popeștii de Jos village, Drochia district will elect their mayors.
